Winter Night is a piece for string quartet in two movements: “A Day of Turmoil” and “A Night of Reflection.” The first movement is playful in character as the ideas are traded between the quartet, however, as the day goes on, things start going wrong. Even if something goes wrong however, somehow, we make it through the day. The second movement has a reflective character, as everything at night seems a lot calmer and still.
